Recotech AB is now crossing a milestone in its business area Ground Support Equipment by entering into a partnership with the aircraft engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney in the United States to produce Pratt & Whitney EcoPower(R) Engine Wash equipment for aircraft engines.
EcoPower Engine Wash helps airline operators increase flight engine performance, and lower fuel consumption and emissions. It is an important tool for airlines to meet future stringent emission requirements and fuel economy. This partnership means Recotech AB is a key manufacturer of EcoPower engine wash equipment.
This week is the first delivery of a complete EcoPower engine wash system to a very important Pratt & Whitney customer. Recotech AB will start serie production in temporary premises and employ new staff for expansion to meet the high demand for these units.
Pratt & Whitney’s patented EcoPower engine wash system reduces fuel burn by as much as 1.2 percent, eliminating approximately three pounds of carbon dioxide emissions for every pound of fuel saved, while also decreasing engine gas temperature, increasing the amount of time an engine can stay on wing.
